- Comprised of 4355 members

- Located near the shores of Lake Kivu in DR Congo.

- Muungano means "Togetherness" in Swahili, and the members live in different communities that were divided by civil war.

Telamo Coop:

- Coop Coffees began sourcing from Telamo in 2014

- Part of the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU), with over 4000 members spanning six villages in the district.

- Joined the SCFCU, because they were impressed by the union's open-book approach.

- Through the union they have received financial and technical support to improve farming and technical processes.

Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU) was founded in 2001 to represent coffee producing cooperatives located throughout the Sidama Zone of southern Ethiopia both locally and in international markets.

MUUNGANO means “Togetherness” in Swahili. In 2009, 350 founding members came together and founded the Muungano Coffee Cooperative in eastern DR Congo. Located on the slopes near the shores of Lake Kivu, this coop today has over 4,300 farmers investing in coffee and their communities.
