- Pangoa has promoted economic diversification through cacao production in the lower elevations, honey production, and developing local markets for roasted coffee sales.

- The coop has 209 members (43 are women)

- All members live within no more than a 1.5 hour walk from the wet mill, where it is de-pulped, fermented and washed

- Collectively they strive to become more financially stable and self sufficient

- Rio Azul Coop provides greater assistance to improve yields, and to improve coffee and shade tree management
