About Chiapas
Chiapas is Mexico’s southernmost forested state bordering Guatemala as well as the Gulf of Tehuantepec and the Pacific Ocean. It is the country’s greatest coffee-producing region, surpassing Oaxaca and Veracruz by producing 40% of Mexico’s total yield, which amounted to 1.04 million 60-kilo bags from 2018 to 2019. (1)
History Of The Triunfo Verde Finca
Promoting conservation, resource recovery and local biodiversity, Triunfo Verde is a cooperative of smallholder organic farmers with 518 members. They operate out of the El Triunfo biological reserve is home to the jaguar and to a quarter of Mexico's animal species. It is a mountainous region is elongated and extends northwest - southeast, parallel to the Chiapas coast. (1)
Triunfo Verde actively engages their members in environmental education, as it's their mission to sell high quality coffee at a fair price and to improve their livelihoods.
"Their goal is to improve humankind's relationship with nature through feasible and ecologically sound means, while maintaining social justice as a core principle." (3)

Tasting Notes And Cupping Score
The Mexico Chiapas is a USDA organic, FLO-certified, washed process specialty coffee with our roast level 3. This one also features a cupping score of 84 and it was grown at an altitude of 1000 to 1700 m.
The featured tasting notes are lime, brown sugar, and nougat.
