What to expect when visiting our cafés during COVID-19
[Updated July, 7th 2020] What will your next visit to Equator look like? If you’ve visited us in the last month you’ll know that our cafes look a lot different. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted at the door to either line up or place your order. Our team will happily greet you from behind a plastic shield in Westboro and staff at both locations will be wearing masks. There are no tables and chairs inside for guests and only a few people are allowed inside at a time. You can enjoy the sunshine on our patios at both cafes in a safe, socially distant setting or have your coffee and treat to go.
Masks are now mandatory in indoor public spaces in Eastern Ontario. Please bring your mask when visiting our cafés. If you forget yours, we can accommodate you by taking your order outside on our patio but we strongly encourage our customers to bring masks when leaving the house.
Behind the scenes, we have elevated sanitization and safety measures in place to keep our staff and our guests safe. You can view a snapshot below, but if you have any questions about your visit to our cafes, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- We are still roasting, packaging, and delivering/shipping coffee every week!
- Distanced tables and line-up markers to ensure social distancing while waiting for your order.
- Raised awareness among staff for improving sanitization, hygiene, and general cleanliness in our cafes and work spaces - more cleaning and sanitizing practices.
- Ensuring that staff are able to stay home when feeling sick.
